Père Noël

Le Père Noël

Dancing on the grave

Rene Magritte Son of Man

Lately I ran on YouTube into a nice lecture of Chomsky talking about his book: "the responsibility of the intellectuals" .

Immediately  some so-called  Lebanese INTELLECTUALS jumps into the picture!!! And automatically is fired the expression of G.Nasr in OLJ "les intellectuels qui ont avalé un parapluie"

Self-Infatuated, grouchy, bilious, they walk surrounded by some young stereotyped common mortals. Scarcely they deliver information and thoughts , using a folded language inaccessible to us the common mortals, to hide an empty thought or to conceal a good information, delivering always only one side of the picture.
Their followers are always maintained in a state of belief in their own ignorance and helplessness, which will be cured by the the help of the sacredness of their master brains' .

These intellectuals  are insuring their place in the "CLOSED LEBANESE CULTURE LOBBY" by their constant servility to some figures of authority delivering a concealed one side information to maintain the inviolability of these figures, but secretly hoping that one day that they will replace them.

Lebanese art critics, literature critics are a bunch of I-COMPLIMENT-YOU-NOW  so YOU-COMPLIMENT-ME-LATER.

Anyone can see the planned filtered books spectrum in the Lebanese book-stores.. Readers are meant to be maintained in a state of  ignorance of their own ignorance.

Where are Lebanese intellectuals from this? why things are kept as-is?

But they FORGET that we are in the globalization era ,where from any "cave" one can follow  the work of the most interesting intellectuals of the world and read any book for free,
One can check as many books and articles as he want,

Surprise Cultural feudalism is dying...  I am dancing on its grave.

My Heaven

d'Arménie,je rugis-me rivant l'âme
dans le creux de la main,
j'arme mon poing!

The Holy Valley Lebanon, where the two worlds touch

The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.

Don't go back to sleep.

You must ask for what you really want.

Don't go back to sleep.

People are going back and forth across the door sill

where the two worlds touch.

The door is round and open.

Don't go back to sleep.

Sanctum of Gods

I share these photos that I took lately in the holy Qannoubinne Valle(Lebanon)
" ....
Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse, with me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions' dens, from the mountains of the leopards.
Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, with one chain of thy neck.
How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than all spices!
Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb: honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon.
A garden inclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.
Thy plants are an orchard of pomegranates, with pleasant fruits; camphire, with spikenard,
Spikenard and saffron; calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense; myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices:
A fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, and streams from Lebanon.
Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.

I wonder what the teacher would have said

Woman was merely man's helpmate, a function which pertains to her alone. She is not the image of God but as far as man is concerned, he is by himself the image of God. – Saint Augustine, Bishop of Hippo Regius (354-430)
The very consciousness of their own nature must evoke feelings of shame.–Saint Clement of Alexandria, Christian theologian (c150-215) Pedagogues II, 33, 2
As regards the individual nature, woman is defective and misbegotten, for the active force in the male seed tends to the production of a perfect likeness in the masculine sex; while the production of woman comes from a defect in the active force or from some material indisposition, or even from some external influence. –Thomas Aquinas, Doctor of the Church, 13th century
“The great Catholic theologian Thomas Aquinas taught that women were defective men, imperfect in both body and soul. They were conceived either because of defective sperm or because a damp wind was blowing at the time of conception . Leading scholars accepted Aquinas's teaching that women had a higher water content than men and that this made them sexually incontinent .
Malleus Maleficarum (Witches’ Hammer) by Jakob Sprenger and Heinrich Kramer (Dominicans monks) who is the most blood-soaked works in human history, in that its very existence reinforced and validated Catholic beliefs which led to the prosecution, torture, and murder, of tens of thousands of innocent women.
Dr. Marija Gimbutas, professor of archaeology at the University of California, that as many as 9 million people, overwhelmingly women, were burned or hanged during the witch-craze. For nearly 250 years the Witches’ Hammer was the guidebook for the witch hunters,
In 1930 Pope Pius XI condemned women’s emancipation as undermining the divinely founded obedience of the wife to her husband and a false deflection from her true and sole role as mother and homemaker
IN 2010  the Vatican stoked the anger of liberal Catholics and women's groups by including a provision in its revised decree that made the "attempted ordination" of women one of the gravest crimes in ecclesiastical law, and by categorizing the ordination of women as an 'offence' in the same category as pedophilia some priests commit.
It is notable that the Church continued to discriminate against women for years after such discrimination was abandoned outside the Church. It was not until 1970 that a woman was authorized to teach Catholic theology

Jesus vigorously promoted the dignity and equality of women in the midst of a very male-dominated society: Jesus was a feminist, and a very radical one. I wonder what the great teacher would say about this

The void of envy

Calumny (Slander) - by BOTTICELLI, Sandro
Envy ... is a subtle and powerful feeling, motivating everything from political movements to murders. (Richard Zeckhauser, 1991, p. 9)

“Invidere”  is considered as one of the “seven deadly sins “ by Christianity and the mind poison by Buddhism.
For Aristotle, Envy is pain at the good fortune of others. ( Rhetoric, Bk II, Chapter 10)
Envy is that passion which views with malignant dislike the superiority of those who are really entitled to all the superiority they possess. (Adam Smith, The Theory of Moral Sentiments, p. 244)

I always imagined the envious having special physical and psychological characteristics, he has small eyes and greenish skin texture. He does not have any biological or sexual identity. He mates by envy to have for himself the sexual identity of his partner.
Slimy, sneaky, sleazy, he enters our life from back door, he sniffs our personal life, monitors our transparency to capture our strong characteristics.
He acts by copying us, he hides his poisoned envy behind clichéd humanism. He craves what we have, looking suspiciously at our well beings. He is distressed at the thought that he does not feel the happiness and the sorrow we feel.
He envy  our good and bad experiences and project his so-called knowledge on it so to be the one who "have it all".
He fights to lower and dispossess in the name of his clichéd humanity and justice
“If I can’t have it, neither should you.”
His demand for justice is the demand that the excessive enjoyment of the others should be reduced, so that everyone's access to enjoyment should be equal
This is well described in this anecdote about a man who is given a choice by a witch: The first one is to give him one cow, and to his neighbor two cows. The second one is to take from him one cow, and from his neighbor two cows ,of course he chooses the second option
He tortures himself by imagining our happiness.
He is torn between his desire to be always the chosen and his feeling of emptiness, he is always a step backward, he can’t be as good as his version of our happiness.
He does not have any desire of his own, he envy our desires.
While desire can be satisfied, envy never can. it is void from inside. Envious is a human imprisoned in his own tragic history.
Everyone can have instances of happiness. Inner freedom from old skeletons is the leading way.

"If envy grabs you by the throat on the way
It is Satan who reaches beyond all bounds.
Because from green envy he hates Adam
And he’s at constant war with happiness.
On the way there’s no harder bridge to cross.
Happy is he who hasn’t made envy his friend.
The body is a mansion packed full of hate,
The family and servants are all tainted.
Yet Almighty God made the body to be pure
So sweep clean His house.
The purified heart is a true treasure and Earth’s gold talisman."

The amorphous being.

In the beginning he conceals his malignity, investigates the vulnerabilities, plan the deadly tactics.
He lies by omission, withholds the truth until it is too late, he plays innocent
He imitates the victim behavior, and he rationalizes his inappropriate existence.
But he is chaos in itself, amorphous , without idendity; to survive he needs to coexist with a victim.
He is so pervert that he choose among the most innocent. He drain bit by bit their life
This being name is Cancer

The venoms of empathy

You are sitting  with a group of people.  you realize that you are experiencing empathy!  You are merging with these people in their problems and weaknesses.

But suddenly you feel drained and empty,  you feel trapped by your own empathy, corpses feeding on your blood, you are being put down, you feel lead weights around your feet, getting absolutely nowhere, going in endless circles and confined in a narrow frozen box!!

trapped by edwin alverio

Your own empathy is poisoning you. The venom is piercing your heart, erasing your limits, killing your characteristics, you are left helpless, a bundle of empathy feelings. You feel so weak that you cannot escape but your rebel spirit is so powerful that you let go and walk away...
